Tour Itinerary
Day 1Arrival in Tangier
Welcome to Tangier.
Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred privately to your Saharaï-selected hotel/riad. Depending on timing, the day begins with a soft introduction to Tangier’s mood: ocean air, bright light, and that unmistakable “gateway between worlds” energy.
If you’d like to start with culture, we’ll shape a gentle first walk through the Kasbah and old streets above the medina — perfect for viewpoints over the water and a calm first mint tea stop. For travelers who want a coastal moment, we can also include an optional excursion to Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules, a classic Tangier pairing with dramatic Atlantic scenery.
The evening is kept intentionally light: a refined dinner reservation and a restful night so you wake up fresh for the Blue City tomorrow.
Overnight: Tangier (Saharaï-selected)
Saharaï moment: Your first sunset in the north — sea breeze, soft light, and a city that feels quietly cosmopolitan.
Day 2Tangier → Chefchaouen (Blue City Arrival & Sunset Viewpoint)
After breakfast, the morning begins with a final Tangier moment if you didn’t have time on Day 1. If you missed them yesterday, we can schedule Tangier’s signature coastal highlights this morning — a gentle walk through the Kasbah and old streets above the medina for sea views, and/or an optional excursion to the Cap Spartel lighthouse and the Caves of Hercules, where the Atlantic scenery is at its most dramatic.
Then depart Tangier and travel into the Rif region, where landscapes turn greener and the pace naturally slows. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the afternoon, check into your Saharaï-selected riad/hotel, and begin exploring at an unhurried rhythm.
Chefchaouen is designed for wandering: blue-washed lanes, small artisan shops, photogenic doors, and terrace pauses that feel restorative. If you’d like context and hidden corners, a local guide can be added for a short walking tour.
As the light softens, we time one of Chefchaouen’s most iconic moments: a gentle walk up toward the Spanish Mosque viewpoint for panoramic views over the blue medina.
Overnight: Chefchaouen (Saharaï-selected)
Saharaï moment: The blue streets at golden hour — calm, photogenic, and effortlessly beautiful.
Day 3Rif Mountains Day (Akchour Option) & Slow Chefchaouen Evening
Today is your nature day — fresh air, greenery, and a softer Morocco that most visitors miss.
If you’d like a true highlight, we can arrange an excursion to Akchour, known for its river paths and waterfalls. The walk is generally considered manageable for active travelers, with a scenic, stop-and-start rhythm (and you can choose a shorter or longer version depending on energy).
Prefer something gentler? We can keep it closer to town: a shorter Rif countryside walk, viewpoint moments, and plenty of downtime back in Chefchaouen.
Return in the late afternoon for a slow evening: terrace tea, a relaxed medina wander, and dinner in a calm address that suits Chefchaouen’s quieter mood.
Overnight: Chefchaouen
Saharaï moment: Mountain air, river light, and the luxury of doing less — beautifully.
Day 4Chefchaouen → Tetouan (Optional Stop) → Tangier
After breakfast, enjoy a final quiet morning in Chefchaouen — last photos in soft light, a coffee in the square, and any finishing-touch shopping.
Then begin the return journey toward Tangier for departure. Depending on timing and your flight schedule, we can include a short, curated stop in Tetouan — a refined, hidden gem known for its character, craftsmanship, and beautiful old streets. It’s a lovely way to add one final cultural layer to the trip without changing the relaxed rhythm.
Continue onward to Tangier for airport/port/hotel drop-off as needed, timed to keep the ending smooth and unhurried.
Saharaï moment: One last northern pause — then back to the coast, refreshed and restored.

FAQs: Blue Serenity: 4-Day Luxury Tour of Tangier & Chefchaouen
Where does the tour start and finish?
This itinerary is designed as a Tangier round trip: start in Tangier and return to Tangier for departure (airport/port/hotel).
Can this tour start from Casablanca or Rabat instead?
Yes. We can tailor the routing to begin in Casablanca or Rabat (with adjusted pacing and/or an extra night, depending on timing).
What’s included in Tangier, and what if we arrive late on Day 1?
If Day 1 arrival is late, we keep it as a soft landing. Any missed highlights (Kasbah/medina atmosphere, coastal moments, Cap Spartel / Hercules Cave) can be scheduled on the morning of Day 2 before departing for Chefchaouen.
Do we need a guide in Chefchaouen?
Not required, but a local guide can be added for a short walking tour — ideal for hidden corners, the best photo lanes, and local context without overloading the day.
Is the Spanish Mosque viewpoint difficult?
It’s generally a short, accessible walk that many guests enjoy at sunset for panoramic views over the blue medina. We can adjust timing based on comfort.
Is Akchour included automatically?
Akchour is an optional Day 3 upgrade. We tailor the hike length and intensity based on your preference — from a gentle nature day to a more active waterfall walk.
Can we keep Day 3 fully relaxed instead of hiking?
Absolutely. Day 3 can be a “slow luxury” day in Chefchaouen: terrace time, café wandering, artisan shopping, and optional short countryside viewpoints — no long walk required.
What is the Tetouan stop on Day 4?
Depending on timing and your departure schedule, we can include a quick, curated stop in Tetouan on the way back — a beautiful northern city known for craftsmanship and character. If your flight is tight, we skip it to keep the return smooth.
Is this itinerary suitable for families?
Yes — it’s a great family-friendly escape. We tailor pacing, walking time, and downtime, and can keep activities light and flexible.
What accommodation tier is this tour built around?
You can choose your tier: Boutique Comfort, Boutique Signature, or Signature Luxury. We confirm the best options for your dates and preferred style once you share travel details.
