Day 1Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas → Aït Benhaddou → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley
Your private crossing begins the moment you leave Marrakech: climbing into the High Atlas Mountains via the legendary Tizi n’Tichka Pass — panoramic overlooks, terraced hillsides, and Berber villages tucked into the slopes.
Midday, you arrive at Aït Benhaddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site) — a fortified earthen village that feels like stepping into another century. You’ll have time to wander the lanes, climb to the panoramic viewpoint, and understand why it’s one of Morocco’s most filmed locations: sun-baked clay architecture, palm-framed horizons, and cinematic silence.
From here, the scenery shifts again as you continue toward the desert edge. You pass through dramatic landscapes en route to Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls rise sharply on either side. If timing allows, enjoy a gentle walk and photos in the cool canyon air — a striking contrast to the warmth of the road.
By late afternoon/early evening, you reach the Dades Valley, where cliffs and rock formations turn sculptural in the fading light — including the famous “Monkey Fingers” formations.

Day 2Day 2: Dades → Erfoud → Merzouga → Erg Chebbi Dunes (Desert Camp)
After breakfast, you continue deeper into the desert landscapes, passing toward Erfoud, a region known for its fossil-rich terrain and desert stone. (Optional: a short stop at a reputable fossil workshop, if curiosity strikes.)
By afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, where the horizon changes — the Erg Chebbi dunes rise like golden waves. At golden hour, your desert transition begins:

After breakfast, you begin the return journey straight back to Marrakech. Because this is a longer drive day, Saharaï builds it with intentional comfort stops: scenic viewpoints, tea breaks, and a well-timed lunch to keep the day flowing smoothly.
You cross back through the Atlas with that final sense of contrast — desert to mountain to city — arriving in Marrakech in the evening, with drop-off at your riad/hotel (or airport, if needed).
