Tour Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco.

Upon arrival in Casablanca, you’ll be met and transferred privately to your Saharaï-selected hotel — a soft, comfortable landing designed to ease you into the rhythm of the journey.

Depending on your arrival time, we can shape the afternoon into a relaxed first taste of the city. A perfect starting point is the Atlantic coastline: a gentle stroll along the corniche, a quiet café stop, and that first moment of ocean air that sets the tone for a north-to-south Morocco crossing.

If timing allows (and you’d like), we can include an iconic Casablanca highlight: Hassan II Mosque, dramatically set above the sea and considered one of the country’s architectural showpieces. It’s a powerful introduction — monumental scale, intricate craftsmanship, and the sense that Morocco’s artistry begins immediately.

The evening is kept intentionally light: a calm dinner reservation (classic Moroccan or contemporary) and an early night if you’re arriving off a long flight — because tomorrow begins the imperial chapter.

Overnight: Casablanca (Saharaï-selected hotel)

Saharaï moment: Atlantic air, city lights — and the feeling that Morocco has opened its doors.

FAQs: Imperial Grandeur: 8-Day Luxury Tour of Morocco’s Imperial Cities

Is this an Imperial Cities tour (Rabat, Fes, Meknes, Marrakech)?

Yes. This itinerary is designed around Morocco’s four Imperial Cities, with Chefchaouen as a scenic, restful contrast and Volubilis for historical depth.

Where does the tour start and finish?

Standard routing starts in Casablanca and finishes in Marrakech. If you prefer, we can adjust the finish to return to Casablanca or add extra nights.

Is Chefchaouen included, and do we need a guide there?

Yes, Chefchaouen is included. Many guests love exploring independently, but a local guide can be added for a short walk to hidden corners and the best viewpoints.

What’s included on the Fes guided day?

A private guided medina experience typically includes Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate), artisan quarters, key architectural highlights such as Bou Inania Madrasa, historic medina lanes around the Al-Qarawiyyin area (viewpoints/respectful access), and optional tannery viewpoints — all paced elegantly with a calm lunch pause.

What’s included on the Marrakech full day (Day 8)?

A curated route can include Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa (when accessible), Koutoubia gardens (exterior), selective souk/medina lanes, the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna, and Jardin Majorelle, timed for the smoothest flow.

How much driving is involved on this itinerary?

This is a northern-focused route, so it’s more relaxed than Sahara crossings. There are a couple of longer travel days (Chefchaouen → Fes and Meknes/Fes → Marrakech), but we pace them with comfort stops and a well-timed lunch.

Are medina tours very walk-heavy?

Medinas involve walking on uneven streets and occasional steps. We keep the pace flexible and can tailor routes for comfort — especially for families or guests who prefer a gentler rhythm.

Can we add a cooking workshop and artisan experiences?

Yes. We can include a Moroccan cooking workshop (often in Marrakech, or in Fes depending on timing), plus optional artisan add-ons such as zellij, ceramics, or curated workshop visits.

What accommodation style is this tour built around?

Saharaï stays are boutique-led and design-conscious. You can select your accommodation tier: Boutique Comfort, Boutique Signature, or Signature Luxury (our most premium tier).

What if our flight is in the morning on Day 8?

No problem — Day 8 is designed around your flight time. For early flights, we keep it as a smooth departure day. For afternoon/evening flights, we include the full Marrakech day as written.
